Who will win the 2014 Stanley Cup

Who will win the 2014 Stanley Cup

The NHL Playoffs are getting closer and although the Playoff picture is far from clear, obviously some people have formulated an opinion as to a Stanley Cup Champion.
So who do you think will win the 2014 NHL Stanley Cup?

The west is as powerful as I've ever seen & anyone of the top teams could win it. The Blues look way to good to ignore & with Ryan Miller now between the pipes they gotta be the favorite to win it. They will have 4 lines rolling at all times & the defense is stacked. I can only see Chicago or maybe San Jose standing in their way. It should be an easy run for Boston to the finals unless they face the pesky Leafs again but if the west teams aren't too banged up they will prevail over anyone in the east.

I'd go with Chicago or San Jose to take it all. Dark horse out of the East is Tampa Bay, and I also think the Rangers will catch a few teams by surprise. I don't think either of the latter two have what it takes to beat the Sharks or Blackhawks, but anything can happen in a seven-game series.

I really do think San Jose has a shot to win it this year, although my opinion might be a bit biased since I am from the Bay Area! haha. But I really do think they have a good shot at it.

I think Anaheim is working towards hitting their stride and will be dangerous in the playoffs. If Ryan Miller gets hot in St Louis, they could be the Cup winners too.

The west does look strong but I wouldn't count out the Bruins or several other eastern teams. Hockey playoffs can be really uncertain and generally the teams that can really play D have the best chance at winning. That and a goalie getting really hot at the right time.

The Rangers are on fire right now, and I'm hoping they win just so I can see Alain Vigneult get a cup (Canucks fan)

They've got a very deep roster, and in my opinion the best goalie in the league. Hopefully they can pull it off!

Now that the 2014 NHL Playoff Matchups are set, I have looked at it and I think that the LA Kings will hoist the Stanley Cup. They should be a 1st round winner and will have a tough time of they face the Ducks next, but after that they make it to the Stanley Cup Finals and beat any team from the Eastern Conference.

So far you are right on with the Kings and if Montreal beats the Bruins then the Kings could be the 2014 Stanley Cup Champions! They may still have to play the Blackhawks next but they should beat them as well.

Looks like Al may be the smartest hockey guy on this board.

Good Guy Al! The Rangers are my hometown team so it is hard not to be biased but damn the Kings look tough. Even though he gave up 4 goals in game 7, Quick stands on his head on a regular basis.

Hoping for San Jose here, although realistically I'll be ok with any team but the Kings winning it. Not a fan of LA here. :P
